Naples Osteoporosis Center is a collective effort of
physicians utilizing a team approach for the evaluation and
management of osteoporosis. The team includes an endocrinologist,
rheumatologist, orthopedic surgeons and a nutritionist. We offer a
full range of services including education/counseling
program, laboratory, bone density testing and other radiological
services. |
| We
have the advantage of having all of the specialists involved
in the care of osteoporosis available in-house. On entering
the program, you will be evaluated either by Dr. Cugini or Dr.
Cohen. This evaluation is to make sure that there is adequate
physical activity, diet, calcium and vitamin D supplementation
as well as home safety. This evaluation is made to uncover any
underlying silent medical disorders. Treatment recommendations
will be made which may include prescription medications. Any
referrals that are necessary will be arranged for by these
physicians. |
